A feast for the ears, featuring the virtuosity of individual sections of the HPO. The rich sonority and colour of the HPO’s winds emerge in Gounod’s Petite Symphonie, and Brahms’ mellifluous Serenade No.2. Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto #6 gives the strings a chance to shine, and will introduce many to the dulcet tones of the viola da gamba. These ensembles will show off the remarkable acoustics of Hamilton’s century-old Central Presbyterian Church.
