French Quarter Festival comes to Burlington
On January 30th, Performing Arts Burlington transformed the Royal Botanical Gardens into the ‘French Quarter’ for an unforgettable evening of musical and culinary adventure.
Guests were greeted with Mardi Gras beads and a drink to get the party started off right, with festively decorated cooking stations provided by Pepperwood Catering and Special Events gracing the RBG’s foyer serving delicious New Orleans inspired food and drink.

Guests were treated to the sounds of eight fabulous musical performances: Margo Jamieson, The Killin’ Time Band, Subourbon Street, Annie Marleau, The 905 Band, Michael Maguire, Kori Pop and KooGle Theatre.
The evening was also a celebration of the arts and community, bringing together arts supporters, members, corporate partners, as well as business and community leaders – all having a great time!
The Master of Ceremonies, PAB’s President Deb Tymstra, led guests through the evening’s program with style and grace. There was a brief formal ceremony to thank all of our wonderful corporate partners, including a special welcome and thank you to our newest president’s club corporate partner, TD Canada Trust.
Thank you to everyone who generously donated to our live & silent auctions or our raffle. A special note of thanks goes out to all the PAB volunteers, members of the fundraising committee led by Bill Leslie and Stephen Bell, Student Theatre performers, Catherine Brady who planned decor, Catherine Young and the staff of Pepperwood Catering and Special Events, Pam Bowen and the staff of the Royal Botanical Gardens, Caroline Wallace our Silent Auction Coordinator, and PAB staff member & Event Coordinator Heather Ableson, who worked so hard to make the evening a huge success.
