Burlington restaurateurs are proud to present “A Taste of Burlington” culinary event. Experience the eclectic styles and flavours of the world, July 25th to August 4th, 2008 as thirteen of Burlington’s finest restaurants will be offering prix-fixe lunch and / or dinner options.
“A Taste of Burlington” will showcase the world’s culinary culture. The thirteen participating restaurants include; 1505 North, 2020 Lakeside, Franco’s at the Holiday Inn, It’s All Greek to Me, Ivanka’s, Kaareli’s, La Costa Nuova, Paradiso, Pepperwood Bistro, Siam Dish, The Carriage House, The Water Street Cooker and West Plains Bistro. All menus are available at www.tasteofburlington.ca and reservations are recommended. Diners who participate in this program will be entered into a draw to win one of two gift certificate baskets each worth $300.

Pepperwood Restaurants + Drury Lane = A Memorable Evening
Drury Lane Theatre has partnered with fellow Performing Arts Burlington member Pepperwood Restaurants to bring a wonderful new dining and entertainment package to downtown Burlington.
La Costa Nuova, Pepperwood Bistro and 2020 Lakeside Ristorante & Bar have introduced Drury Lane “Theatre Evening Experience” prix fixée menus with curtain time guarantees! Each restaurant has created special menu selections for your fine dining pleasure and guarantees you will be promptly served so that you can arrive at Drury Lane well in time for the 8 p.m. show.
Simply call the restaurant of your choice and say, “This reservation is for your Drury Lane Theatre Evening Dinner.” Then arrive at the restaurant by 5:30, ready for a relaxed and memorable evening – fine dining and great musical theatre.

DanceScape & Paradiso Restaurant: Shall We Dance?
With young and old re-discovering ballroom dancing, many may be asking themselves where they can experience the romance, passion and fun of dancing the cha cha, foxtrot, waltz, tango and salsa. “Shall We Dance” guests can experience a four-course Mediterranean Cuisine at Paradiso Restaurant on Pine Street and then glide across the street to DanceScape’s Burlington Ballroom location where they can learn to Ballroom Dance.
This fun program is available for couples as well as small groups and was created by Robert Tang and Beverley Cayton-Tang, three-time Canadian and two-time North American Undefeated Amateur Standard Ballroom Champions from Burlington. “We’re excited to have Paradiso showcase their fine Mediterranean cuisine, which we have used as inspiration to create some fun new tango and salsa steps for absolute beginners,” said Robert.

The talented Maria D’Amelio performs her musical revues, "The Best of Broadway in Burlington!" and "Festa Italiana" at Paradiso Restaurant at 2041 Pine Street in downtown Burlington. An advance booking of a minimum 25 people to a maximum of 50 people is required for each performance. Or she can travel - ask how she can bring her show to your next event. Performing Arts Burlington Advertising Program
As a new service to our members, Performing Arts Burlington is now advertising on both our website and in our newsletter. The money earned will be used to support the operations of PAB, including our quarterly newsletter and our upcoming Performing Arts Directory.
Newsletter Advertisements:
Summer and Fall newsletters have 1,000 pieces printed, while Winter and Spring newsletters have 1,500 pieces printed. Ads must be supplied in digital format. Resolution must be 300dpi (anything less will result in poor quality and may be rejected) Colour ads must be CMYK. We do not accept images taken off a website, as the resolution is too low. Files must be saved as high a resolution tif, eps, or pdf. DO NOT place in Word or any other programs.We can accept zip files. Ads can be created for you for a nominal fee.
